Neil Friedenberg
Neil Friedenberg is one of the owners of Prolite Pickleball, a company that for over 40 years has been dedicated to
promoting the sport of pickleball while manufacturing high performance pickleball paddles, grips, edge tape, bags, and accessories. Neil took over the company from his father, Mark “Yoda” Friedenberg, a National Champion and Pickleball Hall of Famer, after working with him for several years. Neil moved the company from Seattle, Washington to Wisconsin to be near his family.
Neil has also coached various high school sports teams including tennis, baseball, basketball, and golf. He brings his values of health and wellness to his company and to the sport of pickleball. He provides clinics, lessons, individual coaching, and promotes demo days all geared towards health, wellness, and growing the sport of pickleball.
Neil grew up in Federal Way, Washington and started playing pickleball in the late 1980s with most of his games with or against his father and other nationally recognized players. Neil attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where he received his degree in Kinesiology/Physical Education and Adaptive Physical Education and furthered his education with a degree in Health at a private college. While attending college in Eau Claire, he met his wife Carrie. Neil and Carrie reside in Port Washington, Wisconsin with their three children, Clara, Erick and Ellis.
